The Loft, St.Aubins

COMPLETED 2024 // REFURBISHMENT

The Loft restores and refurbishes the former Seagull House with the aim of bringing a neglected building back into full use while improving its contribution to St Aubin in terms of amenity, heritage and appearance. The scheme repairs the structure and returns key interiors to their original form, while the southern sail loft becomes a bright, double-height living space with exposed rafters and carefully detailed wall and roof elements that improve light and ventilation. The project also reconfigures the commercial ground floor unit and the single dwelling above, creating a more functional layout and a long-term, sustainable future for a building that forms part of St Aubin’s historic fabric.
