COMPLETED 2018 // REFURBISHMENT AND EXTENSION

Godel Architects transformed a tired chalet-style house on Jersey’s north-east coast into a crisp, contemporary five-bedroom home with sweeping sea views to the Ecrehous and beyond. The project involved selective remodelling and the replacement of the restrictive roof with a sharply detailed zinc roof to create generous upper-floor bedroom suites and balconies, using a simple material palette to unify old and new elements. A new ancillary building was added to provide garaging and a self-contained guest apartment, with landscaping designed to link the arrival, house, and outdoor living spaces into a cohesive whole.
